I know I’m a little late jumping onto this bandwagon, but here’s my take on Stuart the Minion from Despicable Me! He will be available for sale on Etsy as soon as I manage to get my new store up and running!

I’ll post the pattern separately so that it’ll be easier to access. Skip over there if you don’t want to read my nonsense ramblings.
So anyway, he’s not actually the first minion I made. As like all my previous projects I posted on deviantart before I started this blog, so I will eventually post that up here too once I’m free. Here’s a picture of him!
I didn’t actually take a comparison picture, but Minion 2.0 is much smaller than Minion 1.0 (can anyone remind me of what his name was in the movie?) and just comes up to his shoulder. Minion 2.0 also has movable arms since I put a wire in each of his arms, yay! Oh and, the grey part of Minion 2.0’s goggles are made of felt because I ran out of grey yarn, and then when I finally did get more grey yarn, I decided that it looked better that way, hahaha!
What I’m most regretful of is the fact that Stuart 2.0 doesn’t have gloves. I CANNOT, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, MAKE THREE-FINGERED GLOVES. Or any other gloves for that matter. Since Stuart 1.0 is larger, making the gloves were much easier. But now that Stuart 2.0 is so much littler, his gloves have to be so much littler too, and GOSH after my fingers cramped for the third time I just decided to stop for now. Maybe next time when I find out a better way to make gloves, I will make him some in the future.
But aaaaanyways, here’s more pictures of him! He and I had a ball in my backyard that day :D
