Hey guys! Here’s the pattern for Stuart the Minion, ie. Minion 2.0! Hope you like it :D (Hahaha I just realized but all four sentences in this paragraph including this one start with a word that starts with the letter ‘h’.)

MATERIALS

Yarn (yellow, blue, white, black)

US G hook

Felt (grey, white, black)

Buttons (x2) (optional - can be substituted with black felt)

Eye (any bead/safety eye) - I used a bead

Wire (I used a 16 gauge wire, but you can also use pipe cleaners or something similar!)

Needle, thread, and other misc. sewing materials

Glue gun/craft glue

Gauge:

Unimportant - just make sure to make the stitches tight and even so the stuffing doesn’t show through!

Made it up to this point? Yay, congratulations! :D Now for the most rewarding part - assembling! Since I didn’t think to take pictures before, I hope my little drawings make sense to you guys!

By this point, you should have made all these parts:

I forgot to put that in, but you should have that strip of grey felt too!

Now, whip out your glue gun or craft glue and sewing materials and put them all together! Just remember to wrap a layer of yarn around the wire first before putting it into the arms so that it doesn’t poke out of the arms and hurt someone! This is especially important if you’re making this for a child! It will be slippery, so I coated the wire with glue first to make sure it really stays on.

Also, remember to do the overalls pocket detailing if you want. What I did was to cut out a circle of black felt and embroidered a (rather crude looking actually, since my embroidery skills are at a subzero level) letter “G” that the actual minions have. Glue or sew on the buttons/circles of black felt to the place where the shoulder straps attach to the front of the overalls.

Cut out any felt mouth design you want (Google pictures of Minions for inspiration! They have such a wide range of emotions!), and glue it on. Don’t forget the hair! I was thinking of using embroidery thread since it’s less thick, but I ran out, so I used yarn instead.

And tada, you’re done! Have fun, and share your photos! :) Once again, the completed project is available for sale here!

Also, I’m sorry to have to put up this disclaimer, but this pattern is purely for personal use only!

Questions? Shoot them over to me on the facebook page! :D
